NFT means "Non Fungible Token": non-exchangeable, i.e. unique digital content.
Using blockchain technology, which is also used for crypto currencies such as Bitcoin, digital images, videos and music files can be clearly assigned to an owner.
The owner/buyer is registered on thousands of computers simultaneously in such a way that the information can be verified at any time and practically cannot be faked.
This allows digital content to be sold and collected, and collectors can hope for an increase in value, as with non-digital collectibles.
Perhaps the best known NFT is the digital picture "Everydays: The First 5000 Days" by the artist Beeple, which was auctioned at Christie's on March 11, 2021 for over 69 million dollars.
Other well-known examples are
"CryptoKitties",
"CryptoPunks" and
"NBA Top Shots".
Chilly NFT's NFTs are offered and traded on the
OpenSea marketplace.
As with most NFTs, the sale, and thus the owner, is registered on the
Ethereum blockchain.
The image itself can be downloaded from our website and presented in a digital picture frame, on a computer or on a mobile phone.
